Hello Beautiful People!
Quick check-in regarding three feel-good gatherings I’m hosting this coming week.
First up is a family-friendly Art Reception / Potluck Dinner / House Concert tomorrow (Saturday, August 26th) at the Doghouse (my home) in Oakland. Featured will be art (available to purchase) by Alejandra Rassvetaieff and Devante Brooks as well as a performance by Kenedi6 and Turtle Rock.
Next will be an Instrumental Funk Session / dance party at the Ivy Room on Wednesday, August 30th. Featured this quality vibe time will be funk cover versions of 90's bangers performed by Chris Hoog (sax), Marlon Aldana (percussion), Pamela Parker (guitar), Paul Oliphant (drums), Simon Rochester (keys), Tony Glaser (bass) and numerous special guests sitting in.
Last but not least, the final Summertime CRUfit Collective Patio Concert will be Sunday, September 3rd featuring Mio Flores’ SalSazz Allstars, including Gary Flores (piano), Carlito Franco (bass), Javier Navarrette (congas), Juan Ceballos (flute, hand percussion) and Raul Navarrette (trombone). This will be all ages and free for kids under 12.
